Setup checklist
There are several steps to setting up a tipping competition.
Here is a suggested checklist for you to follow.
- Start new competition (File > New)
Here you can the number of rounds there are in your competition.
This is the only time you can choose this, so make sure you get it right :)
The program will then open the following windows:
- Enter team names
- Customise league rules
Here you can choose the number of points awarded for wins and draws
on the premiership ladder and set other options...
Note that if you choose not to remember game dates and venues,
you won't be prompted for them later on.)
- Enter ground names
- Set administrator password
The default password is no password - all you need to do here is enter
your new password twice. It's highly recommended that you enter a password
if you plan to let others have access to the data file.
That ends the windows opened by the setup process - what you need to do now
is:
- Enter fixtures (Data input and output > Fixtures)
- Enter tipsters (Setup > Edit tipsters)
- Customise tipping rules (Options > Tipping competition options)
Most of the interface should be fairly easy to use - there are
reference pages for each of the options windows so if you get stuck,
have a look at those. If you want to set up a website, you will need
to follow the instructions given here.
